January 2019 Update, Website Overhaul, New Pharisee Poem, Suggested Reading
A belated Happy New Year to all!! 2019 has gotten off to a bang, with lots of interesting discussions and continuing touch up work on the Visual Learner’s Version of the Small Catechism. Medically speaking the residual from my back surgery is looking better each passing day with diminishing left leg and foot numbness. Improving in very small increments, but going in the right direction thankfully. Wife Deanna, on the other hand, is facing some long recovery time following a right rotator cuff repair on Jan 25. She had torn it completely apart during our household move in Feb last year. Prayers for a minimal pain and a full would be appreciated.
Here is what is new for Jan:
- As mentioned last report, I was getting some assistance with the website, which resulted in getting keywords and titles for each page decided on, tested and entered. In addition each page was reviewed for any needed updating an some reformatting. That took a lot of hours and I am sure more smoothing will be needed, but at least people can now find information by searching for the keywords without having to know the web address. This should make a big improvement in site visibility.
- Some touch up work was accomplished on the Visual Learner’s Version of the Small Catechism, plus introductory slides for my upcoming presentation on March 16. The Demo of the presentation also received some touch up work and if you would like a free copy email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
- I found a poem neglected in an office niche and so I completed and uploaded it to the site. It is about the blind man, Jesus healing him and the blind Pharisee. Click here for the page.
- For some interesting reading you might want to take a look at the page titled, Stories from the Reformation. These are selected articles from the Lutheran Journal, mostly from Vol 47, 1980. Click this link to find the page. https://churchmatterssolutions.org/reformation-history-time/
