November 2018 Update: Work continues on field testing of the Visual Learner’s Version of the Small Catechism
Advent greetings! This is one of my two favorite seasons of the church year. I am celebrating on a subdued level this year due to my back. The good news is I had decompression surgery on Dec 4 and there has been good improvement in the pain level most days. Accordingly, this situation has hindered my attention to ongoing projects and the website, but thankfully not completely.
Here is what is new for Nov.
- I had scheduled a time slot with the Called to Confess November meeting to present the Visual Learner’s Version of the Small Catechism. This is a group of confessional clergy and laity here in the NOW District of LCMS. Due to a time crunch this presentation was pushed forward to their next meeting, to be held on March 15-16.
- I have a father and a son (who is autistic) evaluating this version of the Small Catechism at the present time. Hopefully, by the next update there will be some results to report.
Advent blessings, Gene White
