January 2017 Updates
The New Year is here and the new President and Administration is here too! Hooray! Add to all of that commotion the fact that yours truly was laid up for a spell due to medical reasons. To make a long story short I experienced a TIA on Dec 11 and as a result it was found that my ticker had a perchance to slow down from time to time. (That explained the reason for a lot of unexplained symptoms I had been experiencing over the past year at an increasing rate. On Jan 10, I had a pacemaker installed (they call it an insertion) to keep my ol’ ticker on time. The recovery was really fast, except I couldn’t raise my left arm above my head for two weeks and no lifting, pulling, etc., for a month. As a result of the surgery I had to cancel my trip to the Fort for Symposia. Bummer, but I will be able to make the ACL Conference in April for the first time in two years so hopefully I can connect with many of you at that time.
So, what is new this month?
First, of course, more site maintenance was needed. It seems the more info that is posted the more it needs to be reviewed periodically. That could be the Second Law for Websites or something like that.
Secondly, I completed another hymn, or more correctly a Choir Anthem for Advent, titled He is Coming. You will find it included on the Hymns & Songs tab, or use this link. http://churchmatterssolutions.org/contemporary-hymns/.
In February I will be completing the Constitution and Bylaw project I am working on for a church. That means more time to add some good stuff to the site.
Have a great winter and stay dry or warm, depending on your situation.
Have a great day in the Lord!
Gene
